Choosing your replacement

Name the component before choosing a replacement

The underlying catalog includes circuit breakers, batteries and resistors as well as power-supply components. These do different jobs. Use the machine's service information to identify the required part; the phrase power supply is not sufficient by itself.

Keep the complete electrical specification

For a breaker, retain the specified type, ratings and connection details. For a battery, match the required chemistry, voltage, terminals and dimensions. For a resistor, use the specified electrical and mounting details. Do not select solely by the part's physical size.

Avoid replacing a protection device without diagnosis

Repeated tripping or loss of power can indicate another fault. Do not bypass a protection device or substitute an arbitrary rating. Have a qualified technician diagnose the circuit and follow the manufacturer's replacement instructions.

Product selection questions

Is every item here a complete power supply?

No. The collection also contains individually identified electrical components. Read the exact component description and included items.

Can I replace a tripping breaker with a higher-rated one?

Do not make an arbitrary rating change or bypass the device. Diagnose the cause and use the protection device specified for the equipment.

Is an external bike adapter in this collection?

External adapters and mains cords have their own category. Use the component's actual role and the individual listing to choose the right collection.
